Gbenga Adeyinka, the ace Nigerian comedian, is set to round off his Laffmattazz Unity Tour in Lagos on November 26.
Earlier this year, Adeyinka embarked on the Unity Tour; visiting five cities across southwest Nigeria including Abeokuta, Akure, Osogbo, Ilorin, and Ibadan.
In a statement on Friday, the 55-year-old comedian said this year’s last edition of the Laffmattazz Unity Tour is titled ‘Lagos Again’.
He said the event will feature music and comedy acts such as Tuface ‘2Baba’ Idibia, Adewale Ayuba, Alibaba, Omobaba 1, and Ruggedman.
Other entertainers are Funnybone, Koffi tha Guru, MC Danfo, Baba Alariya, Destalker, Madiba of Comedy, Bowjoint, Damola, Benjy d Joke and MC Ajele.
Also among the performers are Bash, Lizzy Jay, Aristos Band, Ashny, Dr Smile, Wisdom da mimic, Mc Stylo, Prince Phelar, Baba D Baba, MC Layor, and Goroso Ekiti.
The event is scheduled to be held at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
“2023 will go down in history as the year where we allowed tribe and religious diversity to thrive and cause disunity amongst us because of politics,” he said.
“Myself and my team decided to use what we have to correct this and we set out on a Unity Tour across South West Nigeria.
“We ensured that entertainers with different political and religious leanings perform, entertain and preach the gospel of unity using the Laffmattazz platform.
“Last year, we had our first edition in Lagos after 12 years of touring the South West and we tagged it Lagos At Last and I dare say it was so successful.
“Lagos would always be home and we decided to round off the Unity Tour in Lagos, hence, Lagos Again.
“We have had some of the biggest names in the industry perform at different editions of Laffmattazz from Davido to Tiwa Savage, Teni the entertainer, D’Banj, Olamide and many more.
“However, for the Lagos Again edition, we have over 25 comedians and seven music acts with a surprise act, DJ Vinnie, Magic Whizz, Carton Boys and GKB.
“We have consistently given a platform to young and budding talents to express themselves and launch them further to the pinnacle of their career.
“Some of these people include Damola and Baba Alariya from Osogbo, MC Remote and Prince Phelar from Ibadan.”
