The 39-year-old film star cleared the air in a now-deleted post on her Instagram stories on Tuesday.

In the post, Ini Edo also demanded that critics leave her and her daughter “the hell alone.”

“My daughter’s donor isn’t just a random person. Don’t make him any more than a donor. Now y’all can focus on what’s really important in the country and leave us the hell alone,” she wrote.

The circumstance surrounding the birth of Ini Edo’s daughter became a public topic after the Nollywood star recently revealed that she had the child through surrogacy.

Ini Edo said she opted for surrogacy to fulfill her dream of becoming a mother.

“Yes I do have a daughter and I had her through surrogacy. The Eggs are mine and so genetically she’s my blood. I chose this path to fulfil my dream of becoming a mother,” she had said.

“I still have a good number of eggs frozen in case I decide to do surrogacy again or carry my baby myself who knows.”

Following the revelation, the internet was awash with comments about the actress’ option for childbirth.
