On Thursday, Oladips addressed the videos and claims surrounding his alleged death stunt.

He called out Qdot, the singer, and accused him of “misleading everyone” about his health struggle during the death controversy.

He also reprimanded other individuals purported to have spread claims that he has been healthy all the while.

Shortly after the statement, the rapper was thrust onto the receiving end of a heated social media backlash.

Many users on Twitter questioned the rapper for calling out some people while leaving out others.

They quizzed Oladips for not blaming his managers who wrongly announced his death on Instagram.

Some users also slammed Oladips for failing to apologise to Nigerians who are still angry about the “death stunt”.

Oladips was mourned by fans after his management announced he died following a two-year personal struggle.

The news of his death came as a shock to fans and colleagues in the industry who immediately paid tributes.

But Wavy, a longtime friend of Oladips, would post a video with the rapper, claiming: “he is alive”.

He further said the rapper would return online if his album reached the top of the music charts.

This got public disapproval and gave credence to allegations that the rapper faked his death to gain music clout.
