Yemi Alade, the Nigerian Afropop singer, and Julian Marley, the son of the reggae icon Bob Marley, will be performing at the Creative Africa Nexus Weekend (CANEX WKND) concert in Ivory Coast.
The music event will be held in Abidjan, the capital city of Ivory Coast, between November 25 and 27.
Among the music stars to perform are Josey (Ivory Coast), Nandy (Tanzania), Nadia Nakai (South Africa), Suspect 95 (Ivory Coast), Didi B (Ivory Coast), and DJ Mohgreen (Morocco/ France).
Toofan, Blinky Bill, Ayodele, The Cavemen, Elaine, and Oswald Kouamé et N’Zassa are also billed to perform.
The organisers said the lineup of the artistes is curated by All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) and CANEX WKND.
They said the lineup aims to showcase the diversity of talent from across the African continent.
The organisers said the music concert is part of a bigger summit which it added would be a three-day gathering of creatives, investors, industry leaders, creative industry businesses, and government representatives.
It is understood that the summit is to have a strong focus on sharing skills and best practices from sectors across Africa’s creative and cultural industries.
“More than simply a business-to-business conference aimed at Africa and the diaspora’s booming creative sector, CANEX WKND is also a celebration of the creative talent that is taking the world by storm,” they added.
