Wizkid, the Afrobeats singer, has teased a new body of work.
In a recent chat with Capital XTRA, the Grammy-winning singer said “he has new album ready to go up”.
The singer also said he has made enough music to retire, adding that he records songs everyday.
“It is amazing to see how far African music has come, big shout out to everyone supporting the movement,” he said.
“I have got a new album ready to go, a new Wiz album. I am dropping a new song next week, in a couple of days.
“I have enough music to retire, we are recording everyday so imagine how much music I have now.
“I love the recording, the performing, I love everything to be honest. I have built my life around this for years, this is the only way I know.”
The singer released his fifth album ‘More Love, Less Ego’ in November 2022.
Speaking about the project, the singer said: “The phrase ‘More Love Less Ego’ is part of my life, it is like a progression. The last one ‘Made in Lagos’, that is where I am from”.
The singer’s four other studio albums include ‘Superstar’ (2011), ‘Ayo’ (2014), ‘Sounds From The Other Side’ (2017), and ‘Made in Lagos’ (2020).
With several hit projects, Wizkid is regarded as one of the biggest and most influential African artistes of all time.
