Wizkid, the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, has teased a surprise show to celebrate the 13th anniversary of his debut album, ‘Superstar’.

Released on June 12, 2011, under Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), ‘Superstar’ catapulted Wizkid into the limelight.

The 17-track album boasted collaborations with notable artistes including Wande Coal, Skales, Banky W, and D’Prince.

It also featured timeless hits such as ‘Holla At Your Boy’, ‘No Lele’, ‘Pakurumo’, ‘Tease Me’, ‘Oluwa Lo Ni’, and ‘Don’t Dull’.

Wizkid took to social media on Wednesday to express his gratitude to God for the album.

“13 yrs since superstar ! First album! Thankful for all Gods blessings. Healthy family ! Blessed life! Love God ❤️ 🦅,” he wrote.

He further teased a possible commemorative event with the post, “Superstar Pop up show! 👀.”

‘Superstar’ was well received and garnered several awards, including Album of the Year at the 2011 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

The music star also won the coveted Next Rated Award at the 2012 Headies.

Since his debut, Wizkid has released four additional albums including, ‘Ayo (Joy)’ in 2014, ‘Sound From The Other Side’ in 2017, the Grammy-nominated ‘Made In Lagos’ in 2020, and ‘More Love, Less Ego’ in 2022.

He is set to release his sixth album, ‘Morayo’, in 2024, dedicated to his late mother.
