Olawale ‘Brymo’ Ashimi has released the video for ‘Heya!’ — a soothing afro-soul song that is the lead single from his sixth album, Oṣó.

In the video, Brymo, almost stark naked, emerges from the water and is seen walking around with nothing but a loincloth covering his groin area.

At some point, he sits on a stool and plays on a piano set on the sand, singing about how man’s problems are ultimately man-made and how ignorance is the bane of the human race.

“Everybody say dem dey go their way but I notice say we dey block each other way. Lai Lai, you no go hear the people say na our ignorance dey make life harder,” Brymo sings on ‘Heya’.

Recorded under a bridge in Lagos Island, the video captures the beauty of the lagoon city in its ruggedness and glory.
