Yemi Alade, Nigerian singer, has come through with the visuals to ‘Dancina’, the sixth track off ‘Empress‘, her 2020 commercially successful fifth album.
The ‘Mama Africa’ crooner announced the release of the music video on Wednesday.
In the less than three-minute visuals, the ‘Shekere’ crooner — dressed in shades of colourful dresses — portrays vigour with a quintessential display of African glamour and gymnastics.
The ‘Johnny’ crooner recently teamed up with Angélique Kidjo, Grammy-award winner, for ‘Dignity’ — a song that centres on the theme of police brutality.
Building on her success, she returned as one of the judges of the Voice of Nigeria, a reality talent show, alongside a team of music critics which include Waje, Dare Art Alade and Falz.
She has also won several awards in the past including the MTV African Music Award and the BET Award alongside other honorary mentions.
In 2018, the singer made the Forbes under 30 honoree list and was unveiled as part of the “2018 most influential people in Africa.”
