Victony, the fast-rising Nigerian singer, has come through with the visuals of ‘Soweto’, his hit single featuring Tempoe.
The less than three-minute track, which was released in March, is from the singer’s ‘Outlaw’ EP.
Directed by Jyde Ajala, its video opens up in what appears to be a beach resort with the vixens colorfully dressed.
The scene switches to Victony singing about a girl he just met and fantasizes about.
“Girl if you balanciego/ I give you paper/ Oh no go do me Diego my Maradona/ Girl if I lap your soweto na Maphorisa/ Girlie your back e be tornado/ And I go follow your craze go,” the singer croons.
In 2021, Victony and his friends were involved in a ghastly car accident while returning from a birthday party hosted by Oxlade, another fast-rising singer.
He thereafter underwent surgery following the injuries he sustained from the accident.
The singer is currently signed to Mainland Block Party, a record label owned by Tobi Mohammed.
