Anthony Victor, the fast-rising Nigerian rapper, better known as Victony, has come through with  ‘Apollo’, his first single of the year.

The song was released across several streaming platforms on Friday.

The 20-year-old had on Monday shared the poster of the song on social media while promising to release it if the post could get up to ten thousand comments.

In the new track, produced by P-Prime, there is a perfect blend of Afropop and Amapiano sound alongside a string of very catchy lyrics.

“I no go dey oh/I no go dey one side con dey wait/Apollo dey oh/I no fit con dey look Uche face/Omo wobe oh/Ebelebe go fit to win your case/So I no go dey oh/I no go dey one side con dey wait,” he sings.

In 2021, Victony and his friends were involved in a ghastly car accident while returning from a birthday party hosted by Oxlade, another fast-rising singer.

He thereafter underwent surgery following the injuries he sustained from the accident.

Victony is signed to Mainland Block Party, a record label owned by Tobi Mohammed.

The musician had put out ‘Saturn’, his debut extended play (EP), in 2020.
