The first trailer for ‘Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard,’ an upcoming action-comedy film starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson, has been released.

The movie, which is the sequel to 2017’s ‘The Hitman’s Bodyguard’, was released on Tuesday.

It had Reynolds and Jackson reprising their roles as Michael Bryce and Darius Kincaid, respectively.

In the trailer, Reynolds is a bodyguard on sabbatical, who is entrusted with the task of protecting both Jackson, a hitman, and Sonia Kincaid, his wife who happens to be an international con artist.

The sequel had been in the pipeline since the first film raked in $176 million worldwide.

Directed by Patrick Hughes, the ‘Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard’ features other movie stars like Salma Hayek, Antonio Banderas, Morgan Freeman, Frank Grillo, Caroline Goodall, Rebecca Front, Gabriella Wright, Alice McMillan, Kristofer Kamiyasu, Tom Hopper, Blake Ritson, and Richard E. Grant.

The world’s most lethal odd couple – bodyguard Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) and hitman Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson) – are back on another life-threatening mission. Still unlicensed and under scrutiny, Bryce is forced into action by Darius’s even more volatile wife, the infamous international con artist Sonia Kincaid (Salma Hayek). As Bryce is driven over the edge by his two most dangerous protectees, the trio get in over their heads in a global plot and soon find that they are all that stand between Europe and a vengeful and powerful madman (Antonio Banderas). Joining in the fun and deadly mayhem is Morgan Freeman as…well, you’ll have to see.

The movie is set to be released in US theaters on June 16.
