An Igbo rapper who identified as Dido Brendy has joined the fray of AY Poyoo, a Ghanaian singer, and Jude Dawam, Nigerian OAP, releasing his version of ‘I’m a goat’.

Poyoo earlier had a breakthrough with his ‘I’m a goat,’ a comic song, which established him as a household name in his home country as he gradually amassed a huge fanbase across Africa.

Dawam, a radio presenter, would later follow closely by releasing his version of the comic song, which appeared to be a Hausa-tainted dig at the rising Ghanaian rapper-cum-internet sensation.

However, on Friday, Brendy put out his own version — albeit a less than a minute clip — wherein he elicits the downside of being a goat and a cow while making satirical comments about unfolding events in Nigeria’s politics.

“I dey kill goat, I dey kill cow, I dey kill chicken. Who be that goat (AY Poyoo)?, who be that cow (Dawam)? I go squeeze you. I go swallow una. Goat chop grass, cow chop grass,” the rapper said.

“I dey chop plenty money. I’m teh snake in the monkey shadow. Anaconda. Python. Snake wey go swallow N36 million. JAMB money. Green snake black snake I swallow sotey, my belle, don big.”

In Poyoo’s version, he had said: “I’m the goat, I’m the goat; meee! Everybody watch out. I’m the goat, I’m the goat; meee! Girls, girls, where you dey? Watch out. Boys, boys, where you dey?.”

Dawam would later retort: “If I sell two cow, I go buy Mercedes Benz. Goat no go fit buy bicycle; goat no go fit buy phone. A cow can trek from Maiduguri to Enugu. A goat go die for road!.”
