Emeka Akumefule, the Nigerian rapper better known as Blaqbonez, has put out the visuals of ‘Back In Uni’, his latest single, featuring JAE5.
The song is one of the tracks off his forthcoming album titled ‘Young Preacher’.
In the less than four-minute video, the rapper reflects on life during his stay at the university as well as his past relationships.
The video opens up with Blaqbonez crashing the wedding of his ex-lover from university. It then switches to him cosplaying Wizkid’s picture on the cover of ‘Bad To Me’.
He also mimickes Oxlade’s Color Studios ‘Kulosa’ performance, Asake’s church scene in ‘Bandana’, as well as Ruger and Ayra Starr in ‘Girlfriend’ and ‘Rush’ respectively.
The 26-year-old also made his directorial debut with this music video.
He had announced his plans to direct the visuals after TG Omori, the Nigerian music video director, charged him $30,000 for the job.
Since the release of his debut album ‘Sex over Love’ in 2021, Blaqbonez has continued to enjoy fame.
