Damini Ogulu, award-winning Afro-fusion sensation better known as Burna Boy, is getting accolades on social media after Rihanna, Barbadian singer, was spotted jamming to ‘Ye’, one of his biggest hits.
Ever since he had his big break in 2018, the gifted singer has continued to make impressive career strides and amass fans in Nigeria across the world.
But on Tuesday, his popularity soared even higher after a video emerged where Rihanna, arguably one of the world’s best-selling female singer, was seen vibing to ‘Ye’ — Burna Boy’s polyrhythmic song off of his early 2018 album ‘Outside’.
The fashion designer, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, even requested that the song be turned up and then she started dancing and singing to it.
This has caught the attention of Nigerians on social media platforms, especially Twitter, where users are beginning to lavish Burna Boy with all sort of praise for taking “Afrobeats to the world”.
Here is what some Nigerians had to say:
Burna Boy is truly an African Giant.

Burna Boy rose to prominence with ‘Like to Party’, his hit single from ‘L.I.F.E’, his debut studio album in 2013.
In July, the award-winning singer had released ‘African Giant’, his long-awaited 2019 album.
He had, prior to the release, said the album was inspired by the outburst that ensued after his name was printed in small fonts on the Coachella Festival lineup.
Last week, the Afro-fusion sensation also called out a fan for not ‘encouraging’ him during his Atlanta show and refunded his money.
