Mr Ibu died from a cardiac arrest on March 2 at Evercare Hospital in Lagos.

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, was also present at the burial ceremony.

Mr Ibu was born on October 17, 1961, in Umunekwu, Nigeria’s former Eastern Region; now called Nkanu West LGA, Enugu state.

After elementary school in 1974, he moved to Sapele to stay with his brother, after his father’s demise.

In Sapele, he did menial jobs so he could sponsor himself to school and support his family.

He worked as a hairstylist, ventured into photography, and also got employed in a company that produces crates.

After secondary school, he was admitted into the College of Education, Yola but pulled out due to finance.

He later enrolled in the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) as soon as he was financially buoyant.
