Davido shed some tears during his wedding ceremony with Chioma, his long-term partner.
The lavish ceremony was held on Tuesday at an undisclosed location in Lagos.
It was attended by close friends, family, and notable figures in politics and entertainment.
In a now-viral video from the event, the couple was seen kneeling before their parents for prayers as part of one of the customs of Nigerian traditional weddings.
Davido seemingly struggled to hold the tears in as his father-in-law prayed for the union.
The wedding of Davido and Chioma is a topic that has dominated social media discourse over the past few days.
Davido had previously said that Chioma’s wedding ring was worth the price of “two or three Rolls Royce motor cars”.
On Monday, the singer shared a pre-wedding video ahead of their big day.
Davido proposed to Chioma in 2019, but their relationship faced challenges in 2021 amid allegations of the singer being involved in another relationship.
The couple lost Ifeanyi, their first child together, on October 30, 2022.
However, in March 2023, the singer disclosed that he and Chioma had officially married.
“I travelled. I am married. A lot of different things but we are ready now to get back on the road,” he said.
The couple welcomed twins in the US in October 2023.
