Anthony Victor, a fast-rising Nigerian rapper better known as Victony, is set to undergo major surgery after he was involved in a ghastly car accident.
Dafe, a talent manager, who broke the news on Tuesday, said the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday.
In a series of posts on Twitter, Dafe revealed that one person identified as Doyin died in the accident while others were “severely injured.”
“Yesterday at early hours of the morning, @vict0ny was involved in a fatal accident which claimed Doyin’s life and left 3 others. #PrayForVictony,” he wrote.
Victony was unfortunately severely injured and he’s set to undergo a Surgery Today.

The rapper was said to be returning home from a birthday party organised by Oxlade, Nigerian singer, in the company of his friends when the incident occurred.
Using the hashtag #PrayForVictony, several Nigerians have taken to Twitter to wish the singer a successful surgery and quick recovery.
Joining the fray, Davido, award-winning singer, wrote in a terse post “prayers up for @vict0ny.”

Oxlade also expressed shock over the incident while commiserating with the family of the deceased.
“Dear lord. Heal the wounded…comfort the families of the lost ones…. Till we meet again Doyin,” he wrote in one of the posts.

Victony is signed to MainlandBlockParty, a record label owned by Tobi Mohammed.
The musician, also known by fans as the Outlaw King, had last year released ‘Saturn’, his debut extended play (EP).
