Enoch Adeboye, general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has shared a throwback photo where he can be seen kissing Foluke Adeboye, his wife, on Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day is celebrated annually on February 14, across the world. It originates as a western Christian feast day in honour of Valentinus, one of the early saints.
The day has amassed huge religious and cultural significance across the globe and is widely seen as a time of celebrating love between mankind.
The 77-year-old clergyman took to his Instagram page on Friday to join the fray, as he shared an image that showed him kissing his wife while in the presence of church members.
Adeboye can be seen engrossed in the moments as his church members clapped. The picture was accompanied with a caption where Adeboye asked God to help the duo love him continuously.
“Lord, please help us as a couple to love You more and more with each passing day in the name of Jesus,” he wrote.
Quite a number of his followers took to the comment section to tease the clergyman with an admirer saying, “Daddy, what are you doing?.”
The picture was taken in August 2017, during a book launch organised by Foluke, which coincided with the cleric’s 50th wedding anniversary.
Adeboye recently made the headlines after he admitted to asking his son to sack his secretary.
“It’s said that many still have crushes with persons apart from their spouses. If there’s any fellow aside from your spouse you’re admiring unduly, you must get rid of them immediately,” he had said.
The clergyman had earlier dominated talks after — on two different occasions — he hinted on plans to create more parishes and build an auditorium as big as Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state.
