Sharon Ooja, the actress, and Sabinus, the skit maker, are among the prominent names to feature in a forthcoming romantic comedy titled ‘Dead Serious’.

Moses Inwang, the film’s producer, announced the star-studded cast in a social media post on Monday.

The movie is scheduled to hit the cinemas nationwide on February 9.

“We are dead serious about bringing you the most hilariously awkward romantic couple this Valentine’s! Prepare to laugh till your sides hurt and shed a few tears as well,” Inwang wrote.

“Brace yourself for the mind-blowing movie, “Dead Serious,” the craziest romantic series comedy of the year.”

‘Dead Serious’ boasts a cast that includes Nkem Owoh, Lawal Nasiru (Nasboi), Albert Oluwatoyin (Tomama/Datwarrigirl), Lilian Afegbai, Funky Mallam, and Deyemi Okanlawon, among others.

As seen in the trailer for ‘Dead Serious’, Ooja takes on the role of Sabinus’ love interest.

Inwang is a Nigerian film director, producer, editor, and screenwriter. The 45-year-old filmmaker rose to fame in 2012 for his directorial work in the psychological thriller ‘Torn’.

He went on to direct and produce hit movies like ‘Damage,’ ‘Cold Feet,’ ‘Stalker,’ ‘Last 3 digits’, and ‘Alter Ego.’

Others include ‘Crazy People,’ ‘American Driver,’ ‘Unroyal’ and ‘Merry Men 2’; Ayo Makun (AY)’s blockbuster film, which emerged as the 2nd highest-grossing movie of 2019 in Nigeria.

Inwang has also secured several awards and recognition for his craft.
