Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian award-winning singer, has revealed that ‘Celia’, her highly anticipated album, will be released on August 28.
The Afropop queen took to her social media page to break the news on Tuesday while also sharing the project’s tracklist.
Songs featured on the 12-track album include ‘Save My Life’, ‘Temptation’, ‘Pakalamisi’, ‘Koroba’, ‘Bombay’, ‘Dangerous Love‘, and ‘Park Well.’
Others are ‘FWMM’, ‘Ole’, ‘Attention’, ‘Glory’, and ‘Celia’s Song’.
The body of work will also feature some top music stars including Davido, Naira Marley, Sam Smith, Stefflon Don, Hamzaa and Dice Ailes.
The ’49-99′ crooner, had while teasing fans about the album’s release in May, described the forthcoming project as “special.”
“@motownrecords says it’s go time. This body of work is special. Album ‘Celia’ up next. All I need you to do is listen,” she had written.
The 40-year-old singer has established herself as one of the prominent figures in the Nigerian music landscape with strings of awards and honorary mentions.
She has released several beautiful projects and also staged collaborations with several prominent music stars including 2Baba, an Afrobeats legend, on his ‘Warrior’ album.
In May 2019, she left Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records and signed a new deal with Universal Music Group (UMG), an American music company that boasts of artistes like Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga.
