Inetimi Odon, Nigerian singer better known as Timaya, has taken to social media to celebrate Emmauella, his first daughter, as she turns eight.
In a post on his Instagram page on Thursday, the gifted singer described her as his special one, while also expressing his love for her.
“Happy birthday my special one. I love you Emma,” he wrote in the post accompanied with a beautiful photo of his daughter.
The eight-year-old is the first of Timaya’s two daughters with Barbara, his babymama. He also has a son with Tamar, his second babyama.
Born on August 5, 1977, Timaya started out his music career in 2005 with the release of ‘Dem Mama’, his hit single, which also appeared on ‘True Story’, his debut album, the following year.
He, however, gained prominence with the release of ‘De Rebirth’, his third studio album. Timaya has since established himself as a prominent figure in the Nigerian music industry with several projects to his name.
The 42-year-old singer has had an impressive music career and also snagged several honours including four Headies awards, two AFRIMMA awards wins, one Nigeria Music Award and an NEA award.
He would also establish DM Records Limited, his own record label, famed for nurturing several Nigerian contemporary artistes including Patoranking and Runtown.
