On Wednesday, an online newspaper had claimed that the musician was flown abroad to commence chemotherapy following his throat cancer diagnosis.

Amid the development, several Nigerians had taken to social media to wish him a quick recovery, while others questioned the veracity of the report.

But reacting in an Instagram post to commemorate this year’s Eid-al-Fitr on Thursday, the award-winning singer said he would disclose the circumstances surrounding his health in due course.

He, however, kept mum on whether he was indeed diagnosed with throat cancer or not.

The 44-year-old singer also thanked those who have so far reached out to him.

“Eid Mubarak to my lovely Muslim brothers and sisters. May Almighty Allah accept our fast as an act of Ibadah. Instagram!!! This is not the one with ram…I must not ignore the massive show of love. Thank you all. I’ll tell you my story myself, it will be true then not false,” he wrote.

Sound Sultan started pulling the weight of fame after the release of ‘Jagbajantis’, his hit single, in 2000.

He was later signed by Kennis Music after independently releasing other singles and featuring in the hits of other singers.

With numerous awards and recognition, the rapper has since established himself as a household name in the country’s music landscape.

In 2009, Sound Sultan got married to Chichi Morah, his long-time girlfriend, and the union has been blessed with three children.
