Mohbad died on September 12 and was buried the following day.

The cause of Mohbad’s death is still unknown, although allegations have made the rounds.

Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, said that the singer died after an auxiliary nurse was invited to inject him.

Omowunmi, Mohbad’s partner, also recounted that Mohbad faced multiple tribulations before his death.

The Lagos police have commenced a criminal investigation to determine the cause of his death.

But a video has surfaced where a woman who identifies as Mohbad’s mother said she believes he was murdered.

“Somebody killed my son and whoever did will not know peace. I don’t have the right to speak on this matter but I know that my son hasn’t known peace since he started working with Naira Marley,” the bereaved woman said.

“The times when they told several lies against him, I couldn’t talk because I wasn’t given the chance to speak out.

“My son gave me money to go to the hospital and while I was there, he called me to tell me that he was given water to drink and that he no longer felt well after drinking.

“Since then he didn’t have any peace and he was always fearful till he lost his life. Sometimes, he will be called for a show but he won’t be able to attend because of Naira Marley.

“Nigerians please come to my rescue. All they have been saying is a lie. They said he was mentally ill but how is that possible if he got married and had a child?

“People who said he is mad please ask them which hospital they took my son to. I have not been able to reach his wife and child.”

Naira Marley, a former boss of Mohbad, has been on the receiving end of multiple allegations since his death.

This is based on Mohbad’s faceoff and ultimate fallout with Marley’s label Marlian Music months before his death.

In a viral video, Mohbad also once instructed fans to blame Naira Marley and the label if any harm came to him.

Following Mohbad’s death, over 200,000 people have called for the ban of Marlian Records in a petition.

Mohbad’s management said the singer was in court over his royalties withheld at Marlian Music before he died.

Ironically, Naira Marley has mourned Mohbad’s demise and joined the call for a probe into his passing.
