Trevboi, the Nigerian artiste, is currently under investigation for allegedly killing a man at a nightclub in Lagos.

On Sunday, a Twitter user identified as Cloud Target alleged that Trevboi killed his friend at Bar 38 Nightclub in the Fadeyi area of Lagos.

He said the incident occurred while his friend was trying to break up a fight. He also called on the police for assistance.

“Wanted!!! Wanted!!! Shot and killed my friend yesterday in Bar 38 club, Fadeyi,” the tweet reads.

“Known as Trevboi. He is armed and dangerous. Wherever you are Trevboi, you will pay the price.

“Trevboi won’t escape this. It touched home. My guy was even trying to separate the fight before he was gunned down.”

In response to the tweet, Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos police spokesperson, said an investigation has begun with respect to the murder case.

The state police spokesperson said the suspect abandoned his car and fled on foot.

Hundeyin added that the police have taken possession of the car and the documents found inside it.

“We commenced the investigation minutes after the incident happened,” he wrote.

“The suspect abandoned his car and fled on foot. The car and the documents inside it are in our custody.

“Investigation is ongoing.”
