The singer was embroiled in a case with the police over an alleged N10 million scam.

Hotkid took to social media to state that a music promoter scammed some people while using his name.

The singer, while denying any wrongdoing, also alleged that the music promoter had duped his victims to the tune of N10 million while promising them a performance from him.

He also shared screenshots of messages from the purported victims of the scam.

Hotkid, however, issued a stern warning to the music promoter to return the money collected from people.

“I’m giving you just 24 hrs to pay up the lady and everyone else you collected money from using my name! Else, you’d hate yourself,” the singer wrote, addressing the promoter.

“Accumulatively collected over 10 million naira from different people! They came to arrest me for money I had no idea about!”

Hotkid started gaining popularity when he joined forces with Poco Lee for the release of ‘Otilo’ in November 2022.
