Top artistes including Seyi Vibez will be performing at The Spotlight Concert to hold in Lagos.
The concert is to hold on Saturday, April 22 at Landmark Events Centre, Victoria Island in Lagos.
The Spotlight Concert is an annual music, culture, and awards platform aimed at celebrating up-and-coming as well as fast-rising Nigerian artistes.
Among those to perform at this year’s edition apart from Seyi Vibez are DJ Crowd Kontroller, DJ Smallz, Manolo Spanky, Hypeman Somadina, Queen of Mic, and Stie Majik.
With the theme ‘Let Your Music Shine’, this year’s edition of Spotlight Concert and Awards 2023 promises to herald the birth of the best three fast-rising artistes in Nigeria after receiving over 5,000 entries.
The winner of this year’s edition would go home with a ₦2 million record deal and a ₦500,000 cash award.
The first runner-up will smile home with a ₦1 million record deal, ₦250,000 cash prize, and an award plaque.
The second runner-up will get a ₦250,000 cash prize and an award plaque.
Olumide Asanbe, the organiser of the show, said The Spotlight Concert was birthed “to engage the youth who are into music” and “give them hope that they “can become stars like the celebrities they look up to”.
“The show will give them something to look forward to and keep them away from crime. This year promises to be
bigger with over 10,000 up-and-coming Nigerian artistes participating,” the showbiz executive added.
Debuting in 2020, The Spotlight Concert has offered its platform to over 600 next-gen artistes to showcase their talents.
Notable artistes like Mohbad, Rexxie, Idowest, and Asake have been featured in the previous editions of the show.
