As the countdown to the gubernatorial elections in Nigeria draws near, several celebrities have continued to canvass votes for their preferred candidates.

The governorship and houses of assembly elections were initially fixed for March 11.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), however, shifted the date to March 18.

With a few days to the poll, Nigerians — including celebrities — have taken to the streets and social media platforms to campaign for their preferred candidates.

With the gubernatorial elections expected to be held across 24 states, TheCable Lifestyle, however, examines the three major candidates in Lagos garnering support from celebrities.

They include Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the incumbent governor who is contesting under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Azeez Olajide Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party (LP).
