Samklef, the Nigerian singer-turned music producer, has called out Banky W over alleged unclaimed royalties from Wizkid’s ‘Superstar’ album.

Wizkid signed a record deal with Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), Banky W’s record label, in 2009.

He released ‘Superstar’, which was his debut studio album, with the label in 2011.

The singer later left the record label and inked a deal with RCA Records.

In a recent interview, Banky W had claimed Wizkid exited his five-album contract with EME after releasing two projects.

But the ‘Essence’ singer retweeted the interview alongside a cryptic caption that simply read: “LOL”.

Amid the ongoing drama between the pair, Samklef claimed he has yet to receive his own share of royalties from Wizkid’s 2011 project.

He also said his lawyers would reach out to the ‘Strong Thing’ crooner in due course.

“Claiming all my 11 years royalties for Wizkid ‘Superstar’ album in a bit. My Lawyers will reach out. It’s 50/50. Anybody wey don collect my money better reach out o! Samkef fine were o! Make dem tag Banky o! My money go don plenty o! Before him go use am campaign for election,” he wrote on Twitter.

Samklef’s claim comes hours after Blackface also accused Banky W and Wizkid of stealing his song.
