Saheed Osupa, the Nigerian Fuji singer, has graduated with a degree in political science from the University of Ibadan (UI).

Born Akorede Babatunde Okunola, Saheed announced his latest feat via his Instagram page on Wednesday.

The Fuji star shared a series of pictures from the class ’21 convocation ceremony held at the institution in Ibadan, Oyo state.

Saheed revealed that he graduated with a second-class upper honor from the political science department.

“It is official! Today, I attended the Convocation Ceremony of the University Of Ibadan, where I graduated from the Department of Political Science with Second Class Upper Credit,” he wrote.

“The public should be aware that, King (Dr.) Saheed Osupa Akorede is a graduate of the prestigious University Of Ibadan, Class ’21 Alhamdulilahi”.

Saheed came into the limelight when he released ‘Fuji Fa Disco’, his debut album, in 1987.

He has since then released over 40 studio albums, including ‘Mr. Music’, a four-in-one studio CD that cemented his position as a Fuji music icon.

The Fuji icon is the pioneer of the Hip Fuji genre. He released ‘Non Stop’, his debut Hip Fuji album in 2018.

Saheed has also showcased his acting skills in Nollywood movies like ‘Olukoti’, ‘Apala’, and ‘Olokiki Oru: The Midnight Sensation’.
