Runtown, Nigerian hip-hop singer, has announced the release date for his forthcoming extended play ‘Tradition’.
In an Instagram post, the ‘Mad Over You’ crooner unveiled the official covers for the EP, confirming that the project will be released under ‘Soundgod music,’ his new record label, on May 31.
With Runtown as the sole songwriter for the EP, ‘Tradition’ will feature five new songs — Redemption, Emotions, Tradition, Goose Bumps and International Badman Killa.
The singer’s six-track body of work will also include an already released single, ‘Unleash’– where he collaborated with Fekky, London-based rapper.
Runtown also enlisted the skills of four music producers for the EP, and they are Del B, who worked on ‘Redemption’; Spellz for ‘Emotions’, ‘International Badman Killa’; Elputo for ‘Tradition’; and Ransome Beats for ‘Goose Bumps’.
The 29-year-old singer had earlier announced he would be releasing his debut EP as an independent act while hinting the news of his forthcoming six-track release.
Runtown, who had been preoccupied with the legal processes trailing his exit from Eric Many Entertainment, his former record label, announced the setting up of his independent record label, which he said, would redefine the business of music making in Africa in 2019.
