Michael Stephens, the ace rapper better known as Ruggedman, has lost his father.
The music star took to his Instagram page on Wednesday to announce the demise of his dad.
He revealed that his dad died on Tuesday at the age of 88.
“I don’t even know how I feel or what to feel. RIP dad,” he wrote.

A plethora of friends and colleagues have taken to the comment section of the post to commiserate with the rapper.
The entertainer is from Ohafia in Abia state. The 47-year-old rapper is a graduate of political science from Lagos State University (LASU).
Ruggedman started enjoying fame in the Nigerian music industry in 1999. His music projects were all released under Rugged Records, his label.
He has since established himself as a household name with numerous hit projects and recognition.
The rapper has performed worldwide alongside international acts such as Sean Paul, Wyclef Jean, Akon, Maxi Priest, LL Cool J, T-Pain, and Nas.
He is also popular for his critical views on happenings in the country’s socio-political landscape.
In 2020, the rapper launched ‘What’s Happening With Ruggedman’, a talk show focused on trending societal issues.
