In a post via Facebook on Wednesday, the cleric admonished salaried employees to always show appreciation to their employers whenever they are paid.

Agochukwu added that workers who are not thankful to their bosses after receiving their salaries are “ungrateful”.

“You are very ungrateful if you received your salary and didn’t tell your boss thank you,” he wrote.

The post has elicited a wave of mixed reactions with a number of individuals taking to the comment section to express their opinions.

Some Facebook users argued that their hard work earned them their salaries and, therefore, did not see the need to formally express gratitude to their boss.

Agochukwu is a native of Imo state.

He founded Shekina Area Gospel Ministry in 2015. The church is located in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

The cleric is known for his unorthodox assertions.

In 2022, Agochukwu said his mother kneels down to greet him because she regards him as her “spiritual father”.

“There was a day my mum knelt down to welcome me to her office and her colleagues asked her not to do that again but she said I am his mother physically but he is my spiritual father,” he wrote.
