Ruger, the Afrobeats singer, has argued that Nigerian women are not the “best in the world”.
The 24-year-old singer shared his opinion during a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos.
Ruger said although there are good women in Nigeria, “we do not have the best in the world”.
The singer also vowed that he would never consider bringing any lady on stage during performances in Nigeria.
“100% we do not have the best women in the world. That is a fact. We do not. I just said we do not. It is simple. It is straightforward. We only have the good women, we do not have the best women,” he said.
“Personally, I do not think I will get any girl on stage. Because most people will come for me… I do not want any trouble with Nigerians. I will just do my thing. I just do not want problems with Nigerians. My people are toxic. And most of the girls in Nigeria are in relationships. I do not want them to come for me. Nigerian girls are lies actually.”
In June, the singer was criticised for caressing and groping some ladies at a concert in Canada.
Ruger’s ascent to stardom began in 2021 when he signed with D’Prince’s Jonzing World Record, an affiliate of Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records.
He has since received numerous accolades for his craft.
Ruger released ‘Ru The World’, his debut album, earlier in September.
