Ruger, the Nigerian singer, has released ‘RU The World’, his highly anticipated debut album.

The 17-track project saw the light on Friday after several weeks of teasing.

‘RU The World’ opens up with a track dubbed ‘Tour’ and includes soulful tunes like ‘Ashana,’ ‘I Want Peace,’ and ‘Blue’.

Ruger explores the theme of love in tracks like ‘Addiction’ and ‘Kristy’, while also offering introspective moments with ‘All My Days’.

Others tracks include ‘Asiwaju’, ‘Nine’, ‘Likely’, ‘Boy Toy’, ‘Dear Ex’, ‘Island Girl’, ‘Red Flags’, ‘Jonzing Boy’, ‘Bun Bun’, and ‘Holy Ground’.

The album also boasts of notable collaborations, including Stefflon Don, the British rapper; Sauti Sol, a Kenyan band; Govana, Jamaican dancehall singer; Projexx, reggae artiste; and Jugglerz, music producer cum singer.

The project was crafted by a team of producers, each adding their unique touch to create a diverse and dynamic masterpiece.

Ruger’s ascent to stardom began in 2021 when he signed with D’Prince’s Jonzing World Record, an affiliate of Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records.

He has since received numerous accolades for his craft.

In 2021, he won the AFRIMA best newcomer award and then the best new artiste category at the 2023 Soundcity MVP Awards.

Ruger also has two extended plays (EPs) to his name titled ‘Pandemic’ (2021) and ‘Second Wave’ (2022).
