Rick Ross, the American rapper, has teased a new song featuring Blaqbonez, his Nigerian counterpart.

In a recent post via his Instastory, Ross shared a titillating teaser of Blaqbonez’s verse on the yet-to-be-released track.

The collaboration comes after Ross expressed his admiration for African culture, food and music in February.

The US rapper said he wants to bring more attention to Africa by doing a collaborative project with the continent’s artistes.

The famous hip-hop and rap artiste also mentioned the names of African artistes he would like to work with — including Odumodublvck and Portable.

Ross also engaged Odumodublvck on the possibility of a joint album. He promised to link up with him during his North American tour with Shallipopi.

The 48-year-old music executive founded his label Maybach Music Group (MMG) in 2008.

The label has signed artistes like Meek Mill, Wale, French Montana, and Omarion, among others.

Ross has been nominated in nine Grammy Awards categories, and named ‘Man of the Year’ by hip-hop magazine The Source in 2010 and 2011.

He teamed up with P-Square on their hit single ‘Beautiful Oyinye’ in 2011.

Born Emeka Akumefule, Blaqbonez, on the other hand, gained fame with the release of ‘Bad Boy Blaq’, his debut album, in 2018.

The rapper has continued his impressive run in the music industry with several hit projects. Last year, he made his directorial debut.
