Nelly and Ashanti reportedly tied the knot in a secret ceremony late last year.
According to TMZ, the couple got married on December 27, 2023.
The location of their ceremony remains unknown, but the paperwork shows St. Louis County, Missouri, Nelly’s hometown, was where their union became official.
The development came about the same time when the lovebirds announced Ashanti’s pregnancy in December.
In an interview with Essence, Ashanti expressed gratitude for her new phase and thanked Nelly and her fans for supporting her career.
“This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation,” she said.
“Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé, and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience.”
Ashanti also playfully revealed the pregnancy on Instagram with a video of her getting ready for a performance.
She captioned the post, “Baby baby baby baby…. ❤️🙏🏽😆”.
The baby will be Ashanti’s first child and Nelly’s third.
Nelly is already a father to two adult children from a previous relationship.
Ashanti and Nelly rekindled their romance in 2023 after dating on and off for a decade, from 2003 to 2013.
