Ajike, a daughter of Remi Surutu, a Yoruba actress, has held her traditional introduction ceremony in Lagos ahead of the marriage to a man whose identity is yet to be disclosed.
Surutu broke the news on Tuesday in a post on her Instagram page.
The movie star also accompanied the post with a photo and video clip from the event, with the caption: “We love you, Ayo. We are proud of you baby girl @ajikemobiola.”
In the photo, Ajike, who is flanked by her man and her mother, is adorned in traditional outfits and jewelry. In the video, she could be seen kneeling before her mum while receiving marital blessings for the union.
Ajike’s marriage comes about three years after the family lost Ayomikun to the sickle cell disease.
“I’ll miss you for the rest of my life. It has never been the same since you left. I try to put up strength for me and your sister but it’s hard to believe you’re gone,” Surutu had said in a tribute.
“I keep looking at your picture everyday thinking and wondering how you left without a goodbye. I love you so much Ayomikun Oladayo and your sister loves you so much too.”
Born Remilekun Oshodi, Surutu, who is a native of Ondo State, first ventured into the music business before she kick-started her acting career.
