Princess Love, the US reality TV star, has announced that she is filing for divorce from Ray J, her husband.
In a statement on Instagram, the ‘Love and Hip Hop’ star said the decision came “after much reflection, discussion, and counselling”.
She added that she believes their “paths have diverged” and parting ways will be in their “best interest”.
“Dear Friends and Family, it is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our decision to divorce,” she said.
“After much reflection, discussion and counselling, we have come to the difficult realisation that our paths have diverged, and it is in the best interest of both of us to part ways.
“We want to reassure you that this decision was made thoughtfully and with mutual respect and consideration for each other’s well-being.”
This is not the first time the couple has announced a divorce. They have filed for divorce three times previously.
In May 2020, Love first initiated divorce proceedings, then dismissed them shortly after.
Ray J, the singer, filed later in September 2020 but withdrew the filing in March 2021.
He then filed again in October 2021, but the divorce was officially dismissed in March 2023.
Ray J, 43, and Love, 39, got married in Los Angeles in August 2016 after four years of dating.
They share a 5-year-old daughter and a 4-year-old son.
