Portable, the fast-rising singer, has apologised to Davido for calling him out during the Osun gubernatorial election.
The pair seemed to be at loggerheads over their conflicting interests during the state election on July 16.
While Portable backed Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the ‘OBO’ crooner supported Ademola Adeleke, his uncle and eventual winner of the poll.
At the time, Portable had taunted Davido for unfollowing him on Instagram over his perceived support for Oyetola.
“Once again, my father is not a rich man. I come from the trenches but managed to bring my family into wealth. So support who support you. They wasted no time in unfollowing us,” he had said.
But in an Instagram post on Tuesday, the ‘Zazoo Zeh’ crooner asked Davido to forgive him.
“Accept your pass without regrets handle your present with confidence face your future without fear…Akoi apologies to @davido. We no get any issue. Akoi loyalty. Won ti settle eh,” he wrote in a mixture of English and Yoruba.
His apology came after Olabode Thomas-Fagbayi, the Onitigbo of Tigbo-Ilu, instructed him to beg Davido over his behaviour during the election.
Portable was in the news recently after Olabode named him the Amuludun of Tigbo-Ilu, a land in Ado-Odo/Ota LGA, Ogun.
The title conferred on the singer had triggered a wave of reactions on social media.
But the monarch defended the chieftaincy title, arguing that despite people’s “reservations about Portable,” the singer still remains “our son”.
