“And we demonstrated commitment by increasing budgetary allocation to the sector as we work on improving the quality of our curriculums & welfare of our students.”
TheCable Lifestyle had reported how Sanwo-Olu made pledges to Shotunde after the 22-year-old graduate broke LASU’s 37-year record by emerging with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.95 in his final year.
Confirming his receipt of the monetary prize, Shotunde wrote: “I had the honour of meeting with the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
“I’m pleased to acknowledge the fulfilment of one of the promises made by His Excellency. I was on the visit with my proud parents, Engr. Adisa Shotunde and Mrs. Motunrayo Shotunde.
