Philkeyz, the Nigerian producer, says he once refused to work with Kizz Daniel because he offered him N50,000.

In a recent interview, the producer said he declined because the money he charged at the time was more than what Kizz Daniel had offered.

The producer said Kizz Daniel later asked him to work for him after he became famous.

“He reached out to me that he had a certain amount of money, I think like N50k, and he wanted to work with me although he was not signed then,” he said.

“My charge was more than that at the time and I was working for King Sunny Ade. I was a big boy, so I was like no, I am not doing it.

“I was going to see if he would call me back but he did not call me back, so we just allowed that part to slide. Then when he became famous, he called me back and said he wanted to work with me.”

Philkeyz, born Philip Chukwuja, came into the limelight after he produced Omawumi’s ‘Somori’.
