Pat Attah, the Nigerian actor, has revealed that he once dated Genevieve Nnaji, the actress.
In a recent interview, the 47-year-old film star said his relationship with the actress was “serious and it lasted for two years”.
He said the decision to part ways was inevitable and occurred at the right time.
“We had something going. We were both serious, but for some reason, we had to break up when we had to break up,” he said.
“That does not mean our relationship was not serious. We dated for 2 years thereabout.”
When asked if it was a secret relationship, Attah replied, “No, it was not”.
“We went to places together. It was not like we were having a fling; we were serious with each other,” he added.
In 2002, Attah worked with Genevieve in the movie ‘Lovers Caught in War Between Their Families’.
Their on-screen chemistry was also evident in the 2003 movie ‘Jealous Lovers,’ where they were portrayed as lovebirds.
He has been featured in other Nollywood movies including, ‘Spirit of Love’, ‘Extreme Measures’, ‘Colour of Money’, and ‘Never Believe Me’, among others.
Although he has not been actively involved in acting in the past years, Attah has also received several accolades for his craft.
