The family of Osmond Gbadebo, the Nigerian actor and producer, has announced his burial arrangements.

The film star died on Monday. The cause of his death, however, still remains unknown.

Ronke Oshodi Oke, the actress, shared a flier containing details of his funeral arrangements, via her Instagram page.

According to the flier, Gbadebo’s funeral will commence with service of songs and wake on June 3 in Surulere axis of Lagos state.

The actor would then be buried the next day at the Atan Cemetery.

“We announce the death of our friend and brother who died on the 30th of May 2022. Gbadebo Atanda Osmond. 1977 to 2022,” it reads.

“Burial arrangements: Friday 3rd June 2022, service of songs and wake keep at 57, Mogaji street, Ijeshatedo Surulere, Lagos. Time 4 pm. Saturday, 4th June 2022 Burial Service and Interment at Atan Cemetery. Time 9 am.”

In a post accompanying the flier, Oshodi Oke, born Ronke Ojo, wrote: “This still remain a rude shock. RIP my brother “Gbadebo Osunmo (Osmond)”.

Gbadebo was famous for his roles in movies such as ‘Ewon Ife’, ‘Queen Lateefat’, ‘Edunjobi’, and ‘Hired Killer’.

Several of his colleagues in the Yoruba movie industry have penned touching tributes to him.

“So sad and a deep painful loss, Osmond Gbadebo. You are a fighter and safe to say you have gone to rest. Ever jovial, ever supportive, ever friendly,” Yomi Fabiyi had written.
