In a tweet on Monday, the standup comedian said he is supporting the LP candidate because he believes Obi can “fix the problems in Nigeria.”

He also said it is not his intention to see Atiku Abubakar and Bola Tinubu — the flag bearers of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), and the All Progressives Congress (APC) respectively — fail but only wants the best for Nigeria.

Bakassi added that when “Obi fixes Nigeria, Buhari and Tinubu won’t be going to London for medical treatment and Atiku won’t live in Dubai.”

“I don’t want Atiku or Tinubu to fail, I just want Nigeria to succeed. I’ll support and vote for @PeterObi to fix Nigeria, so in their very old age, Buhari & Tinubu won’t be going to London for medical treatment and Atiku won’t live in Dubai. #saveNigeria,” he wrote.

Bakassi joins other celebrities such as Chimamanda Adichie, Charles Inojie, and Psquare who have also endorsed Obi for the presidency.

In May, the comedian took to his Instagram page to share a flyer of the LP presidential candidate. He also disclosed that he admires the politician’s courage.
