Odumodublvck, the Nigerian rapper, has claimed Tems, the Grammy-winning singer, charges $500,000 per verse.

The rapper shared the purported figure during a question-and-answer session with fans via X on Friday.

During the chat, a user asked him if he is going to feature Tems in a forthcoming project which he has been teasing.

“Hope Tems is on the deluxe,” the user asked.

In his response, Odumodublvck said she would not be on the project, adding that “a verse from Tems costs $500,000”.

“1 verse from Tems na 500k USD. Even Hushpuppi leg go first shake before e tremble,” he wrote.

Odumodublvck, born Tochukwu Ojogwu, is known for his stage performance and genre-blend.

In 2022, he signed a record deal with NATIVE Records, in partnership with Def Jam Recordings.

In the same year, he put out his first single titled ‘Picanto’ featuring ECko Miles and Zlatan.

The rapper then released ‘Declan Rice’ – a chart-topping single named after the English footballer.

He has received several recognitions for his craft.

The rapper won the award of the Best Rap Single and Rookie of The Year at the 2023 Headies.

He was also listed among Wizkid’s favourite artistes so far.

Tems, on the other hand, gained global recognition in 2020, courtesy of her collaboration with Wizkid on the song ‘Essence’.

She has since established herself as a fan favourite in the Nigerian music industry, earning several awards and accolades.

In February, the songstress won her first-ever Grammy award.

She bagged the ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ category for her role in ‘Wait for U’, the 2022 hit song by Future featuring Drake.

Tems recently released ‘Me & U’ — a track she said she wrote while “having a conversation with God”.
