The radio host spoke about the lifestyle of the reality show stars during the latest episode of ‘Honest Bunch’ podcast which had Doyinsola David, BBNaija ‘Level Up’ housemate, as a guest.

Nedu said some housemates leave the reality show with the belief they are very popular yet have no substance to hold on to.

Substance, in this context, means the quality of being financially stable.

The OAP said just two months after the reality show, the ex-BBNaija housemates begin to fade into obscurity.

“You know what Big Brother does for you? It takes you from here and shoots you up. When you come out, you have this belief that you’re a star – A’ list, but there’s no substance to hold you on to,” he said.

“That’s why some people would come outside, two months you no see them again.

“Some Big brother housemates are hungry.

“Now this is not a disrespect to all of them. I respect all of them. They are all wonderful people. There are some Big Brother alumni that have money before they went.

“All I’m saying is…It takes you up there, no substance.”

Also speaking, Doyin said she has made her money before entering BBNaija, adding that “I went on the show to better my life.”

“I speak for myself. I wasn’t broke before big brother and I will never be broke even after Big Brother. I went on the show to better my life. So however that bettering my life comes…” Doyin said.
