Afeare Isreal, an aide to Davido, Afropop singer, has apologised to DJ Cuppy over the allegations he made regarding her feud with Zlatan Ibile.

Cuppy had earlier threatened to sue Isreal for claiming she didn’t pay Zlatan after their collaboration for ‘Gelato’.

In a letter dated February 10, Babajide Koku & Co., Cuppy’s lawyers, stated that there was no contractual breach in her deal with Zlatan.

According to the letter, Isreal was also given a seven-day ultimatum to apologise for defamation and retract his claims.

But in a video shared on social media on Thursday, Isreal acknowledged he wasn’t fully aware of the situation before making a “false” claim on it.

“I want to apologise to Cuppy Otedola for my post on her and Zlatan’s issue. I’m very sorry for the embarrassment it has caused you, your person, and your family. Please don’t be offended,” he can be seen saying in the video.

“It will never happen again. I’m sorry the statement is false. It was actually what I heard. We’ve been good friends for many years, including your dad. Please, Cuppy, don’t be offended.”

The apology comes after Zlatan had claimed that he “doesn’t know” Cuppy.
