A video of John Okafor, the late actor fondly called ‘Mr Ibu‘, praying for Paul Okoye, the singer, in what appeared to be his final moments, has surfaced online.
Mr Ibu died from a cardiac arrest on Saturday at Evercare Hospital in Lagos. He was 62 years old.
A few hours after his death, a clip of the ace actor went viral across social media platforms.
In the clip, Ibu appreciated the singer while praying that “you will go to heaven and sit with angels”.
The thespian thanked Paul for standing by him throughout his ordeals, adding that “everything happens in God’s own time”.
“Rudeboy. Oh God, I do not know where to start my language. But everything happens in God’s own time (sic). When the time comes it has come. Rudeboy if you no go heaven, call me a cow meat. You will go to heaven and you will sit down in the presence of the angels and we will eat together. Your life will never change. What people will be talking about today is ‘How come?’ Ibu and Psquare, they are not the same parent,” he said.

“This broke my heart the more,” he wrote on his Instagram story.
Earlier, in his tribute to Mr Ibu, Paul revealed he spent several weeks with the actor at the hospital.
“I slept in the hospital with you for several weeks just to be there with you and all .. and you still left God why ??” he wrote on Instagram.
Celebrities have continued to pay their last respects to Mr Ibu.
