Mr Eazi has signed a fresh international deal, this time with Columbia Records UK.
The licensing deal gives Columbia the right to promote and sell songs by the ‘Pour Me Water’ singer across the UK.
Mr Eazi, real name Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, made the announcement in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
He wrote: “Another major move. Thank you God for keeping things running smoothly.
“As CEO of my Label #BankuMusic I signed a licensing deal with @ColumbiaUK as part of our structural release for the coming music.
“Everything is almost in place & new single from my upcoming project #LagosToLondon drops 23rd May Jah willing. Thanks for your support. Together (my fans, my Team & I) will make history.”
The record label also put up a post on Instagram, welcoming the ‘Akwaaba’ singer.
The post read: “Welcome to the family, @MrEazi.”
Mr Eazi’s new licensing deal is similar to the one he recently signed with Universal Music Group Africa.
The Nigerian singer also has a distribution deal with Mad Decent, a record label owned by Diplo, an American producer/disc jockey.
The ‘Banku’ music progenitor was featured as the ‘Up Next’ artiste on Apple Music streaming platform in July 2017.
Since the release of his mixtape, Life is Eazi, Vol. 1 – Accra to Lagos, in February 2017, his stock has risen internationally.
