Kidney failure took another one

Nollywood lost another one to the cold hands of kidney failure. His name was Samuel Adeshina Adesanya, but you may probably know him as ‘Pastor Ajidara’.

The sad news was announced on social media by Mr Latin, with a picture of Ajidara in his sick bed which he captioned, “and the man died few minutes ago”.

His fans reacted angrily over his death, describing his colleagues as greedy and selfish for not supporting him after he fell ill and could not afford medical treatment.

Some fans also advised Nollywood stars to get health insurance so they will not have to plead for assistance when they fall ill.

The fire that threw up conspiracy theories

A fire broke out in the palace of the oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu.

Although it was said to have been caused by a malfunction in the air conditioner, superstitious Nigerians linked it to Akiolu’s recent public snubbing of ooni of Ife, oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

Many googled for terms such as ‘oba of Lagos palace on fire’, ‘oba of Lagos snubs ooni of Ife’, and ‘oni of Ife and oba of Lagos’.
